Dear Parent, Namaste! As we prepare to welcome the summer break—the season of mangoes, late mornings, and sunny possibilities—we wanted to pause and share a small note. Not a checklist, but a gentle reminder. With the holidays upon us, there are no early alarms, no submissions, no last-minute homework hunts. What the season does bring, however, is time—time full of potential. We hope the summer days ahead are filled with stories and books that spark curiosity, laughter, and wonder—not just assigned reading, but books that your child chooses freely. We hope for long, meandering conversations with family and friends, unhurried by the rush of early mornings. For games played under the open sky rather than on screens. And yes, a break from screens—we say this even as we write to you on one! Let’s all take a serious shot at a digital detox this summer. As Jonathan Haidt writes in The Anxious Generation, "We are overprotecting children in the real world and underprotecting them in the virtual one." Let this summer be a return to the real world: real friends, real boredom, real joy. While we’ll surely miss the buzz of classrooms and corridors, we’ll return before long—hopefully with everyone a little taller, and brimming with stories of offline adventures. Holiday homework has been assigned and shared, with thoughtful consideration to ensure that children still get to enjoy a true break. For our Board classes, this time offers a valuable opportunity to complete projects thoroughly and at a comfortable pace. We encourage our students to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty—habits that will serve them well now and in the years to come. A gentle reminder: while attendance isn’t being marked during the holidays, academic consistency and regularity remain essential.
